What I did this Summer ;-)

Performed with The Cape Cod Fiddlers, Celtic-Folks, Longing For Ireland, The Orleans Inn Irish Session. Tim Joyce and His Bag O'Cats. Camped at Ossipee Valley Music Festival, S. Hiram, Maine, July 22 and 23 while Tim&Bag O'Cats performed on Stage Too!
Visited Grand Manan Island, NB Canada - to help host a fundraiser/music variety show and lobster roll dinner at The Curling Rink, for The Swallow Tail Lighthouse Keeper's House July 9. Went back up for three weeks to also host and perform at Fundraiser 2 at Covert Hall sharing the stage with "Before The Mast" Sea Shanty Band from St. John, NB. While on the island I discovered Eel Brook Falls and Hay Point trails. I cared for my mother at our summer house, and also had some quality time with my two sisters. Survived unscathed by Hurricane Irene and enjoyed listening to my Dad's recorded narration of his novel "Dead Man's Tide" as the wind was blowing all around- no rain!
On Sept. 3rd I hosted Kathleen Gorey-McSorley and Carolyn Holyoke of Fredercton, NB, Canada, in a house concert here. What a supremely talented 17 year old Kathleen is! She celebrated her birthday during the concert, and we all had cake.
Had a full house, a fine potluck, and a jam session followed till the wee hours. Check out Brick Hill House Concerts. next show is Nov. 6

About Me

My photo
Fun loving Celtic/Folk/Blues fiddle player and artist. It's more about the interaction with fellow musicians than about being a soloist! I love where I can go, in and around the tunes.. I am an illustrator and graphic artist. Love abstract art/design. One day I'd love to do a cover for The New Yorker.
